Itinerary

  • Meeting with the Guide at the hotel customer and departure to Prahova Valley, which boasts a multitude of touristic resorts.
We stop first at Sinaia, known as "the Pearl of the Carpathians" by its beauty. Here we will visit: the Monastery of Sinaia, built by Prince Mihail Cantacuzino after a visit to Mount Sinai. The architecture of this monastery has to do with the St. Catherine's Monastery, located on Mount Sinai. We have to mention that it was the first building in this part of the Carpathian Mountains, giving name to the resort. We continue with a visit to the wonderful Peles Castle, built by the first representative of the Romanian monarchy - Carol I, member of the family of Hohenzollern of Zigmaringen of Germany.
After visiting Peles we leave for the village of Bran, where we visit Bran Castle, also known under the name of Dracula's Castle, built between 1377-1382, by the Teutonic Knights on the top of a large rock, with the purpose to defense and control of the most important trade route that connected in the Middle Age the ancient regions of Wallachia and Transylvania. But the Castle owes its fame to the legend of Vlad Tepes - the bloodthirsty Dracula. For Romanians is famous because of that Queen Mary, the woman of the second King of Romania - Ferdinand, was staying in the summer in this castle along with their children.
After this visit we head towards Brasov, where we will have a panoramic city tour: the Church St. Nicholas, the Schei Gate, the Synagogue, the St. Ecaterina Gate, the Thread Street, the Council Square, the Tower of the Council, and the most important Gothic monument in Romania , the famous Black Church of Brasov. Lunch in a local restaurant of Brasov. Free time to stroll in the city of Brasov or shopping.
