Itinerary
Day 1 - Bucharest
Arrival at the international airport of Bucharest, meeting with the Guide and transfer to hotel. Short walk and visits before dinner. Dinner and accommodation in Bucharest.
Day 2 Bucharest – Marasesti – Piatra Neamt
Buffet breakfast. Departure to the town of Marasesti, where we will visit the mausoleum of Marasesti, dedicated to Romanian soldiers who died in the First World War. Lunch en route. In the afternoon arrival in the city of Piatra Neamt, called "Moldova Sinaia", one of the oldest Romanian settlement, due its history dates back to prehistoric times. Dinner and accommodation in Piatra Neamt.
Day 3 Piatra Neamt – Bucovina Painted Monasteries – Targu Mures
Buffet breakfast. Departure to the region of Moldova, one of the most representative tourist regions of Romania, known as the land of the 2000 monasteries. The monasteries of Voronet, Sucevita, Moldovita and Humor, with its frescoes painted both inside and outside, are one of the legacies of Byzantine art in the world, comparable to those of Cappadocia, Mistra or the Meteoras, unique in Europe, reason by which have been declared a UNESCO heritage. The first monastery that we visit is the Monastery of; built in 1488 by – Stefan cel Mare. This monastery is known under the name of Sistine Chapel of the East and is famous throughout the world, for its predominant color - blue, a color that is listed in the catalogs of UNESCO, together with the green of Veronese and Titian Red. We continue our journey and we visited the monastery of humor, one of the most beautiful monasteries of Bucovina. Lunch in a traditional restaurant. We continue with the Sucevita monastery, whose exterior paintings date from the 1596 and where the predominant color is green and the Moldovita monastery, built in 1532 by Petru Rares. Painted both outside and inside, it carries the yellow solar as dominant color. Dinner and overnight in Targu Mures
Day 4 Targu Mures – Sighisoara – Brasov
Breakfast buffet. We started the day with a tour of the city of Targu Mures, known as the "city of roses", with the Orthodox Cathedral, the Teleki, Palace, Drama Theater, the Catholic Church, Palace of Culture, City Hall and the Prefecture. We continue our journey toward the city of Sighisoara, today UNESCO Heritage and birthplace of the famous Vlad Tepes, prince of Wallachia who inspired the figure of Dracula on the novel by Bram Stoker. We visit the Clock Tower that houses the Museum of History of the city of Sighisoara, the Museum of medieval weapons, the Torture Chamber as the birthplace of Dracula today a famed restaurant. In the late afternoon - arrival in the city of Brasov. Dinner and accommodation in Brasov.
Day 5 Brasov – Prejmer – Bran – Brasov
Breakfast buffet. We started with the visit of the city of Brasov - Kronstadt, an important cultural center, industrial and tourism. We will have a panoramic tour of the city of Brasov with: the Church of San Nicolas, Door of Schei, Ecaterina Door, Synagogue, the street of the thread, the Council Square and the Black Church. We continue our journey toward the locality at Prejmer, where we visited the largest fortified Saxon church - at Prejmer today UNESCO Heritage. Then we arrived in the village of Bran, where we visit the Bran Castle, known under the name of castle Dracula. The castle owes its notoriety to the legend that relates to the figure of Vlad Tepes. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the late afternoon arrival in Brasov. Free time for strolling and shopping. Dinner in a local traditional restaurant. Accommodation in Brasov.
Day 6. Brasov – Sinaia – Bucharest
Breakfast buffet. We depart for the station of Sinaia, named for its beauty the "Pearl of the Carpathians", where we will visit the Sinaia Monastery, built by the prince Mihai l Cantacuzino, after a visit to Mount Sinai. We continue with the visit of the wonderful of Peles Castle, built by the first representative of the Romanian monarchy - Carol I, a member of the family of Hohenzollern Zigmaringen of Germany. Lunch at a local restaurant in Sinaia. In the late afternoon arrival in the capital of Romania - Bucharest. Dinner and accommodation in Bucharest.
Day 7 Bucharest
Breakfast buffet. We started the visit to the capital of Romania, with the Palatul Parlamentului, - the second building in the world after the Pentagon, Piata Revolutiei, Atheneul Roman, the former Royal Palace, the Library Carlo I, the equestrian statue of the first King of Romania - Carol I. Then we headed toward the hill of the Patriarchal Church Romanian - the small Romanian Vatican - where is the Patriarchal Church and the Palace of the Patriarchate. We close our tour of Bucharest with a visit to the Museum of village. Lunch in a restaurant in the old city center. After lunch we continue our tour of Bucharest, with the old town, where we can admire the old Princely Court dating back to the time of the famous prince Vlad Tepes, the ancient and beautiful Church Stavropoleus - one of the oldest churches of Bucharest and the Palace of C. E. C. Farewell dinner with folklore show and drinks in the old city center. Accommodation in Bucharest.
Day 8 Bucharest – Otopeni
Breakfast buffet. At the time established with the Guide, transfer to the airport and end of our services
